Integrated Media Player

AssetNow NX includes a licensed copy of the leading JW FLV Player. The media player widget, integrated with the editor and media libraries, makes media publishing as simple as selecting and inserting a media file.

The JW FLV player widget supports:

• Video in FLV and MP4 format
• Audio in MP3 and AAC format
• Images in JPG, GIF and PNG format
• Youtube video through their API

The JW FLV Player also supports RTMP, HTTP, live streaming, various playlists formats, a wide range of settings and an extensive javascript API.

AssetNow NX supports video streaming of FLV video via ColdFusion using the underlying java server to stream media. This streaming is suitable for low usage media applications where random access (seek) in the video is required. Typical applications include product marketing and support videos.

To stream video the video file must contain keyframes to provide random access points. These can be added using a metadata injector or video editing software.

For streaming to higher number of viewers you should use a RTMP streaming server solution avaibale from numerous vendors.
