Flexible Tree Structure

AssetNow NX uses a familiar tree structure for categories to manage your Web site page hierarchy. This tree is expandable to any number of levels and you can move categories within the structure as your site grows and content organization has to change.

The AssetNow NX tree structure typically reflects the site navigation, however you can exclude specific categories from the site navigation and use parts of the tree as role specific/organization publishing containers.

The site tree structure allows you to:

  • Easily manage and visualize the site structure
  • Find and access categories and pages quickly
  • Manage sites of any size due to the unlimited tree hierarchy size and depth
  • Create mini-sites within a single installation
  • Move and order categories in the tree at any time

The flexibility of the tree structure is extended by these features:

  • Easily order pages within a category
  • Create virtual copies of pages which you need to appear in more than one part of the site
  • Set access permissions to any part of the site
  • Use permission and integrated geolocation to display regional content based on visitors country
  • Display specific content to visitors based on entry links

The tree structure is also used in other AssetNow NX tools providing a familiar and easy to understand interface to the various tool options. For example the Library tool manages library images and files using an unlimited tree of folders.
